Space adventures can be started from your team panel, in the 'info' subpanel.
Space adventures are an easy way to bootstrap your crew. You can collect resources which can be later sold in the market, and by surviving only a couple minutes, your crew may discover asteroids to settle in.

How it works
You fly your spaceship through an asteroid field, destroying asteroids to collect resource fragments. A collector magnet around your ship automatically pulls nearby fragments into your cargo hold.
The adventure starts easy with a handful of asteroids, but difficulty increases every second. After 90 seconds, a large asteroid can spawn. You can land on it and claim it for your crew by getting the spaceship in touch with it. After about 2 minutes, an enemy spaceship will appear and start hunting you.
If your ship's durability reaches 0, the hull is breached and all resources in your cargo are lost. You can press x at any time to return to base safely with whatever you've collected.
Loot
Destroying asteroids drops fragments that you can collect:
| Fragment | Color | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Scraps | Silver | All asteroids (common drop) |
| Gold | Yellow | Huge asteroids and enemy ships (rarer) |
Enemy ships drop significantly more loot when destroyed: 4-8 Gold and 10-16 Scraps.
Fragments disappear after 10 seconds if not collected, so stay close to what you destroy. Your cargo hold has limited space, so keep an eye on storage. Carrying more cargo also makes your ship slower and burns more fuel.
How spaceship upgrades affect adventures
Your spaceship components directly determine how your ship performs in adventures:
Hull
Determines your ship's durability (health points). When durability hits 0, the adventure ends and all collected resources are lost. Larger hulls take more hits but are slightly slower.
Engine
Affects your movement speed and fuel consumption. Better engines make you faster and more agile, but burn fuel quicker. Running out of fuel means you can only drift with inertia and can't accelerate.
Charge Unit
Powers both your weapons and shield. A larger charge unit means:
- More shots before needing to recharge
- Longer shield uptime
- When charge hits 0, the ship enters a recharging state where weapons, shield, and the collector magnet are all temporarily disabled
Shield Generator
When toggled on, the shield absorbs incoming damage:
- Small shield: 30% damage reduction
- Medium shield: 60% damage reduction
The shield has its own durability and drains charge while active (3.15 charge/sec). If the shield breaks, it must fully recharge before you can toggle it back on.
Shooter System
Determines your damage output and fire rate. Better shooters hit harder and can fire more shots per second. Multiple shooting points fire simultaneously, so a quadruple shooter puts out serious firepower. Your Engineer's Weapons bonus further multiplies projectile damage.
Storage Module
More storage lets you carry more loot home, but every unit of cargo in your hold slows you down and increases fuel consumption. If you're getting overwhelmed, you can press r to jettison scraps and lighten the load.
Tips
- Toggle autofire (
a) early so you can focus on dodging; - The shield is powerful but drains charge fast. Use it in short bursts against heavy damage, not as a permanent barrier;
- Watch your charge meter. If it empties, you lose weapons, shield, and your collector magnet all at once;
- Don't get greedy. Press
xto return to base before your durability gets too low; - Enemy ships drop the best loot, but they're dangerous. A good shield and shooter make the fight much easier;
- Surviving past 2 minutes gives you a chance to discover asteroids, which is one of the most valuable things in the game.
